Course Details
This course is designed to qualify Slingers/Signallers to safely and competently undertake their jobs. A high level of competency and safety awareness is required and the candidate will be fully qualifies on completion of this course.
Course Duration: 1 Day
Course Times: 8.00 am-4.30 pm
Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination
Certification: On successful completion candidates will be awarded a QQI Certificate and a CSCS Card
Course Requirements
• All trainees have to have a valid Irish Safe Pass
• All trainees must have over 6 months experience in the past 2 years
• All trainees have to have an Irish PPS or UK National Insurance number
• All trainees have to be able to read, write and understand English on their own. If not then a SOLAS approved interpreter needs to be provided on-site for all training. Interpreter needs to be approved in advance of the course.
• All SOLAS Candidate Packs need to be completed and returned to us in advance of a booking being confirmed, where applicable. You cannot resit this course if you have previously held a CSCS card for Slinger Signaller
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training. Our slinger / signaller training course and assessment programme enables experienced plant operators to gain recognition for their achievements. Successful Banksman slinger / signaller training candidates get certified after demonstrating their skills, knowledge and attitudes associated with plant operations.
Cancellations Policy
Cancellations of 5 working days before the course start date or a "no show" on the commencement day of a course or cancellation during the course will incur a 75% cancellation fee and no refund is possible. No payment refund is available
*In relation to retest of Scaffolding Courses there will be a fee for the Basic Scaffolding Course & the Advanced Scaffolding Course
By us: Where Boston Training cancels an Event a full refund will be made. However under no circumstances are we liable for your costs and expenses, including transportation and cancellation costs thereof, where we cancel an Event and/or change venues.
